Fractional AI Tech Lead · Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Ship AI features and modernize legacy systems in weeks, not quarters.

I help product teams and agencies bring AI into production and move aging systems to modern stacks: architecture, hands-on development and technical leadership, delivered by one senior engineer using AI-assisted development.

A fractional AI tech lead is a senior engineer on a part-time engagement. You get the decisions and the code, without hiring a full-time AI lead.

  • 2 yearsleading an AI product team
  • 10x+faster delivery on recent projects

The usual trade-off

Fast or done right. You shouldn't have to pick.

Most teams get one of two options. Neither holds up when real traffic, real money, and real deadlines arrive.

The fast, junior team

Quick demos, fragile foundations. The rewrite bill arrives right after launch.

The big agency

Solid, slow, and layered. Account managers, hand-offs, and a timeline measured in quarters.

Senior architecture with the speed of AI-assisted development, from one accountable engineer.

Services

Three ways to work together

Start with a fixed build, modernize a legacy system, or keep a senior technical lead on a monthly retainer. All three stay hands-on.

Fixed price

AI Sprint

A fixed-scope build delivered to production in 1–3 weeks.

  • An LLM feature inside an existing product
  • An agent or a workflow automation
  • A RAG system over your own documents
  • Documented code and a handover your team can run

Fixed scope

Legacy Modernization

Move an aging system, for example a .NET Framework application, to modern .NET using AI-assisted development with senior review at every step.

  • Assessment of the existing codebase and dependencies
  • Replacement of unsupported libraries
  • Structured rewrite and migration to a modern stack
  • Documented code and a handover your team can maintain

Fit

When this is the right call

  • You need a senior technical voice and you do not have a CTO.
  • Your team is adding AI and nobody has shipped it in production yet.
  • You won the AI work and need a senior engineer to deliver it under your brand.
  • A prototype exists, and it needs to become something customers can use.
  • You run an aging system (for example .NET Framework) with unsupported libraries and want it modernized without a year-long rewrite.
  • You want a clear scope and a short timeline, not a quarter of research.

Legacy .NET Framework system, migrated to modern .NET

Problem
An aging .NET Framework application built on libraries that were no longer supported, hard to change and risky to keep running.
What I built
A structured migration and rewrite to modern .NET, using AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Cursor) with human review throughout, including replacing unsupported dependencies.
Result
Delivered more than 10x faster than the original development effort. Running in production.
  • .NET Framework
  • .NET Core
  • Claude Code

Back-office system and dashboards

Problem
A business that needed internal tooling and operational visibility, and could not wait for a long development cycle.
What I built
A back-office application with dashboards, designed and delivered in a matter of days.
Result
Built more than 10x faster than a traditional build. Running in production.
  • Back office
  • Dashboards
  • Rapid delivery

Complex retail and web systems for new clients

Problem
Multi-channel retail logic and web platforms that had to launch fast without cutting corners.
What I built
New client systems covering complex retail workflows and web applications, built end to end.
Result
Delivered more than 10x faster than the original approach. Running in production.

FAQ

Questions I usually get

How can you deliver this fast without cutting corners?

AI handles the repetitive work: scaffolding, boilerplate, test coverage, and integration code. My 25 years of experience go into the parts that matter: architecture, security, data design, and review. Every change is read and approved by me before it ships.

How do we work together if you're not in our time zone or office?

Async-first. We agree on overlap hours, share a channel for day-to-day questions, and meet once a week for a demo.

Do you sign an NDA?

Yes, before any detailed discussion.

How is pricing set?

Sprints and modernization projects are a fixed price, set after a written scope. Retainers are monthly, for an agreed number of hours. There's no price on this page; I send a written proposal within 48 hours of the discovery call.

Who owns the code?

You do. All work is delivered to your repositories, with documentation.

Which stack and models do you work with?

Full-stack (backend, frontend, cloud) and the major LLM providers. I choose based on your constraints, not my preference. I also migrate legacy .NET Framework applications to modern .NET.

Do you work with regulated betting and gaming operators?

Yes. I build with jurisdiction rules, KYC, responsible-gaming, and audit requirements in mind from day one, and I work alongside your compliance team rather than around it.

What if the project needs more than I can deliver alone?

I'll say so upfront. Then we scope the work to fit, or I help you hire.
